Hello there! I'm Odin, a bit of a shy bird but growing calmer and more confident each day. I'm learning to embrace each day as it comes, despite only being able to see out of one eye. But let me tell you, this doesn’t hold me back from indulging in a bit of mischief or keeping a sharp lookout for my favourite seed treats!

A Journey to Confidence

When I first arrived at this wonderful facility, I was placed in an aviary with more outgoing birds. Many of them could fly and had vibrant personalities. As an introverted bird who didn't fly and occasionally plucked my feathers due to stress, I found this environment challenging. Fortunately, the thoughtful staff moved me to a different aviary where the vibe is much more relaxed—just like me. This change has made a big difference; I’m less nervous and hardly pluck my feathers now. I've even started flying, using my new skills to be the first at the food bowls in the morning!

Finding Companionship


I was lucky to find a partner here with whom I can just enjoy being a bird. We love spending time together, especially when it involves chasing after delicious nuts—a favourite treat for many of us here.
