Hello there! I am Commander, and I think I am a very nice bird! I don’t have any troubles with the other birds nor do I like to create conflict. I consider myself a calm and good-natured being. I’m a good flier and also very curious. Everything new intrigues me and makes me want to investigate, whether it's food, enrichment, or chewable browse! My favourite is browse; I fly straight away to it and get busy. When new browse arrives, it makes my cheeks blush - I get so excited. I get to it and start taking all the leaves off one by one, and once that’s done, I chew the wood. It’s just so relaxing!

Loving the Springtime

I love springtime when the weather gets warmer, and I can spend more time in the outdoor aviary. The daylight makes all the difference; I feel more active and ready to explore. My partner and I enjoy the warmer afternoons, making different noises and watching the birds from other aviaries.
